The cutest word

Just had an epiphany. The Swedish word "pyssel" might just be the most adoring word in the history of language.

Coffee, cigarettes and good company

Spent the day with a a friend of mine who needed some company. Such a strong but yet frail person she is... I suppose that is a quality that rather intrigues me. Just the fact that we can talk about more or less everything and anything between heaven and earth, without hesitation or timidity, is extremely comforting. I think, all considered, that I needed her company and support more than she needed mine, even though I didn't realize it at first.

Today my time was well spent.

Bickering and BB's

Spent yesterday evening shuffling around in an attic trying to get together a small milsim without much success. I suppose it wasn't all bad though; sitting in a shabby russian uniform in a dark attic, smoking cheap cigarettes and trying to get my rather beat up RPK to work, has a certain charm after all.

Nonetheless it wasn't exactly time efficiently spent.

After several hours of bickering, however, we managed to put together a couple of short skirmishes, with the theme "police vs punks", and the result was actually above expectations.

I think it'll work rather good the next time.

A pleasant surprise

At long last I received a much-awaited package from my old friend Alex. I found the notice of the parcel's arrival yesterday evening, just too late to fetch the package at the postal service office that day (to my great dismay) and the anticipation kept me up most of the night!

The contents, as promised, consisted of a Shinel, an Ushanka and my second* favourite hat of them all; the Afghanka. The fourth one I have owned and hopefully the last one I'll have to purchase!

*The favourite of them all is of course my old railway cap from the early days of the Soviet Union. Never will I part with this stylish piece of history.

A first step into the blogosphere...

Since the first days of blogging I have consequently avoided starting a blog of my own out of some sort of reluctance to conform to my surroundings. But heck, it's easier than creating a website and Google's user conditions allow me to keep the rights to stuff I upload, so why the hell not? I just hope I won't regret this...
